BIOGRAPHY
At 16 years old, graduated, MUSTACCHI is hired at the MIDLE EAST US AIR FORCE
COMMAND, Payne Field, immense city of tents and bungalows, in the DESERT of
LIBYA. He worked at night, but during the day, these unlimited stretches of sand,
crushed by a merciless sun, deeply marked his sensibility.
At 18, a magazine publishes every week a whole page of his humorous drawings, which he signs with
the pseudonym « ZAZOU », in reference to the “zazous” (kind of hippies) of Saint-Germain-des-
Prés, district of artists, in Paris.
Then, at 20 years old, the study of the stained glass windows of Chartres Cathedral was a defining
shock for MUSTACCHI. When he paints, he chisels the light as if he were working with a stained
glass window.
That is why critics refer to him as a “Chiseler of Light.”
The 21st Century is the central theme of his painting, focused on Humanity.
Jubilant, brilliant and filled with generous emotions,
it is a HUMANIST and SPIRITUAL art.
MUSTACCHI is also an art critic, author of poetry collections, short stories, and songs, and he was
a songwriter, performer, and actor.
Creator of International Cultural Events in partnership with NASA, the NATIONAL AIR AND
SPACE MUSEUM, WASHINGTON, the AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM – PARIS-BOURGET, the
French MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, the AIR FRANCE MUSEUM, the NATIONAL
CONSERVATORY of ARTS AND CRAFTS, etc.

STATEMENT
We don’t paint to please, we paint because otherwise we die
a painter is someone who has a 3rd eye because he perceives
what nobody else sees
living to paint and not painting to survive
the painter does not only put color on the canvas, he leaves a
moment of his life there
