BIOGRAPHY

Thanks to a long-standing family tradition in craftsmanship, I was initially guided to train in the engineering field at the Tatra Kopřivnice company. However, I didn’t complete my studies there, as I more or less “escaped” before graduation to take entrance exams for an art school in Ostrava.
After graduating from art school I moved to Olomouc for three years, where I primarily focused on graphic design and corporate identity. In my work as an industrial graphic designer, I focused on creating original posters, billboards, trade show exhibits, interiors, collections of prints and embroidery for sportswear, illustrations for corporate purposes, and company logos.

During weekend trips back to my parents´ house in Studénka, I worked in my father’s workshop on metal paintings and experimented with the theme of burned handmade papers, which emerge as a byproduct of welding metal artworks
I strive to make visual art accessible to people who don’t actively follow or seek it out. Alongside traditional indoor exhibitions, I also organize outdoor, freely accessible shows. The paintings are printed on banners or large-scale boards, allowing them to be displayed in open-air spaces.
I believe outdoor exhibitions can provide people with pleasant feelings and experiences, whether they’re returning from a shopping trip or walking their dog. Culture and visual art don’t have to be the interest of only a select part of society—they can be an ordinary part of everyday life. I hope these exhibitions help people overcome their hesitation or preconceptions about visiting formal gallery spaces and spark a greater interest in acquiring original, unique artworks for their homes.

CV

Formal artistic education at the Secondary School of Artistic Crafts in Ostrava – studied and graduated in promotional art with a focus on graphic design under the guidance of excellent teachers and artists. In 2016, I continued my studies in the drama department at the People’s Conservatory and Music School in Ostrava under the guidance of Mgr. Eva Polzerová, whose perspective on the world and thoughtful approach had a significant influence on me. The program included training in movement and acting, stage movement and speech, improvisation, and communication. I successfully completed the program with a graduation diploma. I have held 28 solo exhibitions – Prague, Břeclav, Ostrava, Studénka, and other cities, and participated in 20 group exhibitions, such as in Paris, Prague, and Madrid.

Around three hundred of my artworks have found new homes and are now part of private collections in the Czech Republic and across Europe.

In 2022, I organized an eight-weeks outdoor traveling exhibition across four busy locations in Ostrava. This was a continuation of my project to bring paintings closer to people and expanded further with an exhibition at the Colours of Ostrava 2022 music festival, as well as a large garden exhibition showcasing 50 paintings.

STATEMENT

I am a painter. I paint with my heart, full of conviction, fascination, and deep connection to the chosen theme. Painting brings me joy, and my goal is to captivate and engage the viewer with the result. It is a great reward when people respond positively to my colorful perception of the world.
My aim is to bring art closer to people who don’t actively follow or seek it out. I hope that when someone asks themselves what kind of painting they would truly want to hang in their home, they will find the answer by looking at one of my works.
