BIOGRAPHY

Growing up in beautiful Northwestern Ontario I was always surrounded by gorgeous lakes and so many forests. This has helped shape my love for the outdoors and the many hobbies that come with it. It also helped spark my artistic journey. I grew up loving art and all it had to offer, always experimenting with new styles and techniques. When it came time to choose what I was going to do for university, art seemed like the only appropriate choice for me. I graduated from Lakehead University with Honours in painting and sculpture and have been practicing ever since.

STATEMENT

As a mixed media abstract artist, I specialize in both painting and sculpture. Using elements like texture and color, my works are created and inspired by scenery and experiences around me. There are many things that inspire me as an artist, things like my own emotional state at certain times in my life, interactions with people around me, and the emotional and physical connection humans have with nature. My interest in bringing forth an emotional response in my work, allowing the audience to consider the deeper meaning in the relationships we hold with everything around us, is the foundation for my art.
