Maria Allner, born in 1963, lives and works as an artist in Munich. Color and paper have always inspired her as an artistic material. Her painterly work and her paper artworks are of intense colorfulness. With paper sculptures she figuratively redesigns her painted pictures. Her works inspire with their symbolic and expressive power.
“Artistic creation is my passion. Paper sculptures in ever new variations of patterns, colors, structures and shapes fascinate me. As a painter, I work abstractly and figuratively in acrylic and watercolor as well as mixed media techniques. I love how the creative impulses fly to me and that I can give them expression in ever new ways. <<… because art is a daughter of freedom.>> (Friedrich von Schiller)”
