BIOGRAPHY
Luis Casadevall is a Spanish photographer whose work explores human connection, dignity and the emotional life of communities. Before turning to photography, he became one of Spain’s most influential creative directors, helping transform Spanish advertising through a bold, conceptual and deeply human approach recognised internationally. Since 2011, he has returned regularly to Havana, creating an archive of more than 65,000 black-and-white photographs. His images move beyond familiar symbols to reveal everyday life, resilience, intimacy and cultural memory. This long-term project became the photobook Aún nos queda el alma / We Still Have the Soul, published by La Fábrica with a foreword by Leonardo Padura and editing by Chema Conesa.

STATEMENT
I photograph the invisible bonds that connect people: gestures, glances, dignity and shared memory. Working instinctively in black and white, I seek the poetry within everyday life, approaching the street not as a spectacle but as a space of intimacy, resilience and human connection.
