BIOGRAPHY
Based in thee southern part of Holland next to the border of Belgium, Liesbeth lives in the middle of a vast forest. That forest is her main inspiration.
She walks with her dog Randy everyday in the woods.
Until 2010 Liesbeth worked as an independent interim manager and coach in finance but in her spare time she was always busy painting/drawing as an amateur. In 2010 Liesbeth decided to make a change from finance to an artist. Because painting gives her more joy and energy. She took a number of lessons with established artists and started with small paintings in Acrylic, but large paintings were much more fun.
At that time her first inspiration was Africa with beautiful bright and warm colours. So her first series was named “African dreams” From that moment she painted in series, every next series develops more or less automatic from the previous one.
One series exists of 8 or 10 paintings, and the next one evolves from the previous one, It is not something I decide, but it happens most of the time after I have dreamed about my next series.
Since her start Liesbeth is also active international. Her colors are very much appreciated in the Southern part of USA like Florida. Het art is a bit “undutch”, The dutch people like more the Rembrand style. Of course that is beautiful, but I like colors, thick brush strokes and more whimsical paintings.

Lbetho (artist name of Liesbeth) began her painting career in 2010 after completing several masterclasses with renowned artists. Her bold, vibrant, and imaginative style quickly set her apart, gaining recognition primarily outside of the Netherlands. Today, her work is exhibited internationally and appreciated for its distinctive color language and dreamlike visual world.

STATEMENT
For Lbetho (Liesbeth Oudshoorn), painting is not just a practice—it is a way of life. She lives with the same intensity and passion that she pours into her canvases, making art and life inseparable.
Unbound by rules, styles, or techniques, she allows herself to be carried by pure inspiration. Her brush follows an inner rhythm—instinctive and powerful—as she creates compositions that bring light, color, and movement into perfect harmony. Emotion, memory, and music form the invisible threads running through her work, echoing in every stroke of paint.
Animals take center stage in her paintings—not as realistic depictions, but as imagined beings born from her inner world. These creatures emerge from a dreamlike realm, vivid and full of spirit.
Her artworks radiate joy, clarity, and hope. And that joy is intentional: Liesbeth’s mission is to make the world a better place. She does so not only through her art but also by donating a significant portion of her proceeds to charitable causes that improves quality of life for all (people and animals). In doing so, she brings beauty with purpose.
