STATEMENT
I am an artist out of passion and conviction. For me, art has the potential to question our political and social reality, to portray and transform conditions. It represents the opportunity to discover and reflect on new perspectives. It is discourse, criticism, advocacy and conflict. It is probably one of the few fields in which the question is more relevant than the answer – the individual interpretation more essential than the empirical explantion. Art is political statement, philosophical thesis, argument and synthesis, disappointment and desire, critique and hope, conflict, agreement, shocking and beautiful. It is revolutionary power. Art has always been the counterpart to our cultural history – it is influenced by it and, conversely, has an effect on it, shaping and forming our imaginative environments.
