My name is Laureline Veelo, I am a 24-year-old Belgian graphic designer and illustrator.
I have always loved drawing and experimenting with new techniques. From a young age I have been surrounded and inspired by the visual arts because my father is a photographer and my mother a designer of board games. I don’t have a recognizable graphic style yet; I prefer to learn and diversify different drawing styles. This allows me to surpass myself in terms of creativity and to surprise myself in the process.
For my drawings I rarely work on a theme or subject. The working process remains very spontaneous. Most of the time I doodle something without really thinking during my theory classes. And from time to time I realize that the final result pleases me and I continue until I had a series of drawings in the same style.
Winner of the first prize of the Intersection poster
competition in 2021 on the theme «rendez-vous».
I participated in a poster competition with of more than 300 artists from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy and even Japan.
The ASBL Intersections selected the creations of around forty artists and placed them in the Desclée hotel, a neoclassical building in the Saint-Jacques district. The 3 winning finalists were selected by the members of the jury. I had the pleasure of winning first prize.
