BIOGRAPHY
A self-taught abstract artist, Kathrin Anna Eilenz was born in Trier, Germany in 1991.
Having graduated in Fashion Management, she spent many years working in a creative profession. It was when the analytical part overshadowed the creative part that she turned to painting.
She went on to study through practical experience, learning through trial and error and letting her intuition guide the process.
Her influences are the nature and architecture of the countries she traveled as well as music which will often find its way onto the canvas in some form.
She works primarily in acrylics, pastel chalks and spray paint and uses water as an important element for dynamic. She is living and working in Berlin.

STATEMENT
In a world where achievements and perfection are the epitome of success it’s the imperfect brush stroke that brings me the most joy. Acrylics and pastel chalks as preferred media leave room for indecision, new paths and do-overs on the canvas whereas in life, being indecisive is rarely seen as a strength.
