BIOGRAPHY
Since childhood, I have been awestruck by those who could paint something spectacular in view of nature and complete the imagery. Mostly, I was attracted to realistic images of nature and animals. However, I would describe my art as contemporary impressionist.
For most of my young 40 years until 1997, I lived with a disease known as Endometriosis that chocked my life. I graduated from College as a Social Worker that year; driven mostly by the love I had for my family. My sister was a high functioning slower learner with epilepsy and a touch of Autism.
My life has been filled with tragedy and trauma and it wasn’t until 2015 that I actually began my pursuit of art.
As a self taught Artist, my art is intuitive, distinctive and soulful; meaning, I express design formed from my inner spirit. I dream dreams and see visions that are inspired by my thoughts. For instance: Extinction North America was a nightmare that I was awoken too; a warning signal to the unconverted climate deniers.
I choose mostly to paint in acrylic and oil however; I draw in Indian Ink using a Turkey Quill. The Turkey quill drawings are totally instinctive and drawn in conscious thought.
