BIOGRAPHY
Classically started the art of watercolor painting in 1999.
A few years later I learned oil technology in the form of the “old master technique”.
Due to the less time required for the art of using acrylic paints, I found the right color material.
These are applied in a variety of techniques and forms. The versatility of using acrylic paints continues to inspire Gerlinde Kowald again and again today.
Her works of art are created in her studio in 2500 Baden – Schlossergäßchen 10.
The most current technique, which always elicits a WOW from the art lover when it comes to the results of the works of art, is the painting technique she has developed specifically since 2005 in combination with photography.
This type of painting makes it possible for the actual motif to ALWAYS be seen in complete focus and the painted extension makes each picture an absolutely unique piece of art and a work of art – painting makes the photography appear alive.

STATEMENT
Through the type of art she has developed specifically since 2005, the artist tries to breathe life back into her works – so a photograph is not just a wonderful photograph, but also results in a successful symbiosis of photography and painting.
