BIOGRAPHY

Florencia Zampieri was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since she was a child she used to spend her time painting and drawing. She practiced Classic and Contemporany Ballet and became a Dance Teacher with only 17 years old. Her passion to all art expressions inspired her to graduate in Architecture and Urbanism. When she was 24 , she began working as University Professor. She studied different visual art expressions that gave her a solid basement in her plastic artist career. Abstract expressionist method, collage, colors, acrylics, pencils, papers, watercolours, textures and music are her handmates to compose her Dynamic world.

I am an artist who transforms spaces, an architect who is inspired through movement, a dancer who draws, light, in the air, when she rises. The canvas is a pentagram, which allows me to listen, perceive and connect with other canvas, other emotions. Art in me is inevitable, it is magic that materializes the human essence, the transforming alchemy of the body, spirit and soul. The structure was my starting point, my axis of balance for dancing and composing. I learned to dematerialize without losing harmony, always attracted by the creative discipline and experimentation, the plastic, abstract and geometric language of the Bauhaus School but at the same time, poetic, appealing to metaphor and the re-significance of the element and form.
I am inspired by places I visit, by cities near water,by the beauty of calm, the nature of simplicity, textures and their depths, subjective aesthetics, the magic of the unexpected, the books I read. I don’t find limits between my perceptions, I think they intertwine with each other and allow the fluidity I need to create.
I seek to inhabit beauty, let myself be carried away by the unexpected, materialize sound and emotions, create affinity with the other, generate movement to whom my art reaches in the depths of its essence.
