Débora Sánchez Viqueira is a designer and artist living in Madrid, Spain, since 2002. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she studied Architecture and Interior design. Her relationship with drawing and painting begins at a very young age, when she takes classes in art workshops of renowned Argentine masters, which leads her to develop a great passion for different materials. The evolution within the Interior Architecture develops in Argentina and Spain, through numerous interior design projects, and from 2002 she creates Miyabi casa, a company highly linked to design, being the co-founder and Creative Director of the same. This is how, through painting and digital art, she gives life to the collections of the Miyabi casa group, exhibited at Maison et Objet (Paris), ICFF (New York), BDNY (New York); Salone del Mobile in Milan and present in interior design studios in Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
I capture my inspirations and reflections on canvas using different materials such as collage techniques, digital art, acrylics, oils, watercolors, etc. The style is abstract expressionism, and the colors can be vibrant or neutral, without focus or limitation and in this way I achieve sense of movement and organic shapes. Exploring textures, materials, spaces and elements, I am discovering new pictorial and sculptural techniques, inspired by the four elements of Nature, which take force in the work and relates them to the different manifestations of matter giving life to textures in 2D and 3D.sp
