BIOGRAPHY
Chuck Jones, PhD, is an emerging artist who has painted for decades. He is a Knoxville, Tennessee, USA-based, primarily self-trained, abstract acrylic-on-paper painter with a long adjacent career practicing Clinical Psychology, This background leads a conceptual interest in common threads running through seemingly dissimilar pieces of information. Having been raised on the plains of the Midwest U.S., open spaces, lines of site, room to wander, and variegated color patterns have a significant impact on his work; the blending of hard and soft edges into geometrically informed shapes.

2021 –IN THE THROES OF COVID, I STILL PAINTED BUT SUSPENDED APPLICATIONS TO EXHIBITS
· This decision was made with a change in priorities to focusing on a start-up project developing a safe, very effective, anti-viral SARS-Cov-2 mitigation to clean the near air between people congregating in groups.
STATEMENT
“Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one cannot stay silent.” Guided by my French friends’ book subtitle, I continuously ask my internal felt sense ,“What wants to be said? What wants to reveal itself?” In words or in paint?
A recent summary: Whereof I think, I paint. Whereof I paint, I think. Always striving to articulate both. It’s all rather abstract. It’s also conceptually intricate.
