BIOGRAPHY
Ramsay Allan is a Scottish oil painter whose artistic journey has evolved over a lifetime of rich personal experience. Initially self-taught, he later deepened his skills through dedicated study and observation of both classical and contemporary masters. His genre focus spans from surrealism to portraiture and beyond—reflecting his versatility and thoughtful engagement with the world. Based in Scotland, Allan continues to explore the boundaries of creativity, drawing inspiration from his heritage, intuition, and a deep-rooted belief in artistic freedom.

STATEMENT
Versatile oil painter exploring surrealism, portraiture, landscapes, and still life. Inspired by both old masters and contemporary artists, my work reflects a lifelong search for truth and spiritual insight. Through my art, I aim to intrigue, evoke emotion, and share dreams, experiences, and wisdom gained over a prolifically turbulent life.
